Melissa Bauknight is dedicated to empowering women to break free from societal conditioning and trust their true desires. As the founder and CEO of The Nova, she has guided thousands of ambitious, soul-driven women to align their lives and careers with their deepest values, helping them redefine success on their own terms and build supportive, meaningful connections. The Nova is more than a membership community; it’s a movement empowering women to live authentically and rise together.
Melissa’s journey is shaped by a lifelong commitment to personal, professional, and spiritual growth. After a successful 15-year corporate sales career—where she consistently ranked in the top 1-10%, including 10 years in medical device sales—she transitioned to social impact sales, leading a team of over 450 women. Her experience in these high-performance environments gives her a unique perspective on ambition, fulfillment, and authenticity, which she now brings to The Nova’s members.
Melissa has spent the last decade embodying the practices she teaches, a journey that has allowed her to “walk her talk” and authentically support others in doing the same.
A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Tampa and a former collegiate athlete, Melissa is also a lover of the outdoors, travel, and adventure. She lives in Golden, Colorado, with her husband and 7-year-old son, where she continues to build a brighter future for women ready to live in alignment with their truest selves.
KC Baker
KC Baker is devoted to unleashing the brilliance of women’s voices worldwide.
As the founder and CEO of WomanSpeak, she has supported thousands of women around the world in her unorthodox and highly effective methodologies for helping women to clarify their messages, write career changing talks, and find the internal safety to speak up in their public, professional & personal lives.
She has spoken and taught at The United Nations, Women@Microsoft, Emerging Women and TEDxWomen, among others.
Her clients are women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders, platinum record selling rockstars, authors, founders of foundations, TED & TEDx speakers, politicians and non-profit social change-makers.
She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, is the founder of Velvet Flow (a sacred feminine spiritual practice combining sensual somatic movement & Feminine Qi Gong), has produced her own children’s music album, and is a lover of dance, singing and nature. She lives in Sedona & Scottsdale with her family
