Community Guidelines & Terms

Community Guidelines:

Our Values:

At The Nova, we are committed to fostering a curated, inclusive, and high-trust community where seasoned women leaders can connect deeply, grow intentionally, and build sustainable success. Our core values guide our interactions and contributions within this ecosystem:

  1. Respect: We honor and respect every member’s diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and lived experiences. We treat one another with kindness, emotional maturity, and consideration.
  2. Inclusivity: We embrace and celebrate our differences, recognizing that they strengthen the depth of our collective experience. We are committed to belonging that is lived—not performative.
  3. Empowerment: We believe in elevating one another through meaningful connection, thoughtful introductions, and collaborative support. We build together rather than compete.
  4. Authenticity: We value honesty over performance. Members are encouraged to show up as whole humans, not curated personas.
  5. Growth: We are here to evolve. We engage in constructive dialogue, take responsibility for our impact, and remain open to reflection and expansion.

Community Guidelines:

To preserve the integrity and depth of The Nova, all members agree to uphold the following standards:

  1. Respectful Communication:
Engage in conversations with professionalism and courtesy. Avoid offensive language, personal attacks, harassment, or dismissive behavior of any kind.

  2. Inclusive Language:
Use language that promotes belonging and avoids discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.

  3. Constructive Contributions:
Share insights, experiences, and expertise thoughtfully. Contribute in ways that strengthen the room rather than dominate it. Depth and quality are valued over volume.

  4. Confidentiality:
What is shared within Nova stays within Nova. Members may not share, screenshot, record, or redistribute conversations, personal stories, or intellectual property without explicit consent. Psychological safety and trust are foundational to our culture.

  5. Visibility Without Pitching:
Nova is not a sales channel. Members may share their work, ideas, and opportunities in designated spaces and structured formats. However, unsolicited pitching, cold direct messages, transactional outreach, or treating the community as a lead list is not aligned with our values. We prioritize trust, contribution, and long-term relationship-building over extraction.

  6. Active Participation:
Nova is a relational ecosystem, not a passive subscription. While seasons of life fluctuate, members are expected to engage in the community rhythm—through live gatherings, introductions, circles, or thoughtful participation. Consistent engagement protects the depth and integrity of the room.

  7. Conflict Resolution:
If disagreements arise, address them respectfully and directly whenever possible. Seek understanding before assumption and resolution before escalation.

  8. Reporting Violations:
If you experience or witness behavior that contradicts these guidelines, please notify the community administrators. Reports will be handled with discretion and care.

  9. Community Safety:
Do not engage in or promote illegal activities, harmful behavior, or actions that compromise the physical, emotional, or psychological safety of others.

  10. Respectful Moderation:
Members agree to abide by the decisions of Nova leadership and moderators. Their role is to preserve the alignment, safety, and integrity of the community.

Consequences of Violation:

Failure to adhere to these Community Guidelines may result in actions including warnings, removal of content, temporary suspension, or termination of membership depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.

The Nova reserves the right to determine alignment with these guidelines and to take appropriate action to protect the integrity, safety, and values of the community.

By participating in The Nova, you agree to uphold these guidelines and contribute to a space rooted in depth, integrity, and belonging. Together, we are building a community where ambitious women can rise without self-abandonment and grow without burnout.

Code of Conduct

The Nova is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful, and inclusive community. Our members are expected to adhere to the highest standards of conduct to foster a positive environment.

  1. Respectful and Professional Behavior: Members must conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful to all individuals within the community. This includes professional interactions and communication in all forms—verbal, written, and non-verbal.
  2. Non-Discrimination: All members must treat others without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected by law. We are committed to creating a space that is welcoming and inclusive of diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
  3. Prohibition of Harassment: Harassment of any kind, including but not limited to sexual harassment, verbal or physical abuse, or the use of derogatory or demeaning language, is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
    1. Harassment includes unwelcome behavior that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment.

Electronic Communications

Visiting The Nova or sending emails to us constitutes electronic communications. You consent to receive electronic communications and agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy legal requirements.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for all activities under your account. The Nova is not responsible for third-party access resulting from theft or misappropriation of your account.

No Unlawful or Prohibited Use/Intellectual Property

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use The Nova strictly in accordance with these terms. You may not use The Nova in any manner that could damage or impair the membership or interfere with any other party’s use.

Disparagement Clause:

As a member of The Nova Community, you are required to uphold the integrity and reputation of our community and its members at all times, both during and after the term of your membership.

Accordingly, members and former members shall not make, publish, or distribute any false, misleading, or defamatory statements or comments—publicly or in private communications, including but not limited to social media, public forums, emails, and text messages—that could reasonably be expected to harm the reputation of The Nova, its employees, affiliates, or fellow members.

The obligations set forth in this clause shall survive the termination or expiration of your membership and apply to all forms of communication.

Enforcement and Consequences:
Violations of this clause may result in disciplinary action, which may include warnings, suspension of membership privileges, or termination of membership, depending on the severity and nature of the violation. The specific action will be determined at the discretion of The Nova’s leadership team, which reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal remedies for particularly severe or damaging instances.

Reporting Mechanism:
Members are encouraged to report any incidents of disparagement by contacting info@thenovaglobal.com. All reports will be handled confidentially, with the utmost respect for the privacy and dignity of all parties involved.

By agreeing to these terms, you commit to promoting a positive and supportive environment that reflects the values of The Nova Community.

Dispute Resolution

To ensure a fair and effective resolution of disputes, members are encouraged to follow these structured steps:

  1. Direct Negotiation: Members should first attempt to resolve any disputes by directly contacting The Nova’s support team. We encourage an open and respectful dialogue aimed at reaching an amicable solution.
  2. Mediation: If direct negotiation does not resolve the issue, mediation is the next recommended step. This should be carried out with the assistance of an independent mediator, mutually agreed upon by both parties. All discussions during mediation should be conducted in good faith and with a cooperative attitude.
  3. Binding Arbitration: Should mediation fail to achieve a resolution, the dispute will proceed to binding arbitration. Arbitration will be conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, which ensures a neutral and structured resolution process.

General Conduct in Dispute Resolution:

  • Throughout the dispute resolution process, members are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and respect. Disparaging remarks, defamatory comments, and any communications that could be considered disrespectful or harmful to the reputation of any party involved are strictly prohibited.
  • Members are required to engage in all dispute resolution processes in good faith, with a genuine intent to resolve disagreements amicably.

This approach aims to maintain a constructive environment during disputes, fostering a community where issues can be resolved respectfully and efficiently. It also ensures that all parties are clear on what behaviors are expected and what actions are out of bounds, aligning with the overall ethos of our community.

Termination & Access Restriction

Annual Commitment and Pause Option

At The Nova, each membership is an annual commitment, whether paid in full upfront or broken into monthly payments.

This structure exists for two reasons. First, it honors the depth of connection we are building here. Meaningful relationships and true belonging take time. Second, it allows us to plan, invest, and continue elevating the experience for every member in a sustainable way.

When you join The Nova, you are committing to a full 12-month membership term.

Memberships are non-refundable and may not be paused during the annual commitment period.

If you experience something truly significant or unforeseen, we encourage you to reach out directly to our team at info@thenovaglobal.com. We are human first, and while our structure is firm, we will always approach conversations with care and discernment.

Cancellation & Renewal Policy

  • Enrollment and Duration: Each member enrolls in an annual membership, which lasts for one year from the date of enrollment.

  • Renewal: Memberships automatically renew at the end of each annual period. Members will be notified via email at least 30 days prior to the renewal date, providing them with the option to renew or cancel prior to renewal.

  • Non-Renewal: If a member chooses not to renew, they must notify The Nova via the cancelation form prior to their renewal date. Failure to notify will result in automatic renewal for another year.

  • Cancellation Requests: Members may submit a request to cancel prior to the end of their membership term; however, cancellation does not relieve the member of full financial responsibility for any remaining payments owed under the 12-month commitment.

  • Effect of Cancellation: Upon non-renewal, members will retain access to the community and its benefits until the end of their current membership period. No partial refunds are provided for cancellation before the end of the membership year.

Data Protection & Privacy Policy

  • Personal information such as names, email addresses, and payment information is collected for membership management.
  • Personal data will be treated confidentially and will not be shared with third parties without members’ explicit consent, except as mandated by law.
  • Members have rights to access, amend, or delete their personal data by contacting the designated privacy officer.
